M. Hunt

Mary Louise Hunt, 94, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, April 15, 2017, at White Oak Estates. Born November 26, 1922, in Thomson, GA, she was the daughter of the late Grover C. and Mary Lou Asbury Hunt. Miss Hunt was a graduate of Georgia College and State University and retired from the South Carolina Employment Security Commission after 31 years of service. Her last assignment was Labor Market Analyst for six counties in Upstate South Carolina. She was a charter member of Fernwood Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class. Her brother, Cleveland "Pete" Hunt preceded her in death. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Doris Faircloth Hunt of Thomson, GA; nieces, Lane H. Foster and husband Gary of Media, PA and Gena H. Cole and husband Tom of Kennesaw, GA; two great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-niece. A cryptside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 30, 2017, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Reverends Laura and Stuart Jones. Visitation will follow at Heritage Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Georgia College and State University Alumni Association, 231 West Hancock Street, Milledgeville, GA 31061.
