Jimmy Price

Jimmy Wayne Price, 74 of Spartanburg, SC died Monday, September 6, 2021 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born January 10, 1947 in Spartanburg, SC he was the son of the late James Charles and Bonnie Maybelle Dalton Price.

Jimmy was a self-employed business owner. As a member of The First Church of the Nazarene, he served as a Youth Group leader, trustee, usher, greeter, and Sunday School teacher. His favorite hobbies were gardening and antique cars, but his true passion was his family.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Sarah “Sue” Steadman Price, his daughter, Tracy Pack of Inman, SC, his sons, Billy Price (Lori) of Boiling Springs, SC and Shawn Price (Samantha) of Spartanburg, SC; his grandchildren, Kristen, Brandon (Peden), Brooke (Brandon), Joshua (Haylee), Zackary, and Kara, and his sister, Louise Kyle of Boiling Springs, SC. Along with his parents, he was also predeceased by his siblings, Mary Hawkins, Margaret Smith, Bertha Revels, and James Price, Jr.

A Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Friday, September 10, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Todd Black and The Rev. Brian Winebrenner. Visitation will follow at the graveside.

The family will assemble at the homes of Tracy Pack and Billy Price.
