Zula Jones

Zula Mae "Debbie" Jones, 70, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, March 10, 2017 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 25, 1946 in Maxton, SC, she was the daughter of the late Alex Scott and Molly Cummings. Zula was a member of Tabernacle of Love Revival Center, where she was a song leader. She loved making crafts and painting. As a fulltime homemaker, God and family was her greatest love. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, the Rev. Johnny Jones, Jr.; daughters, Anita Jones of Spartanburg; Kristie Jones of Spartanburg; Larae Langley (Steve) of Mooresboro, NC; grandchildren, Ashley, Frankie, Tana, Kirstie, Auson, Skylar, Eternity; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Alex Scott, Jr., Bracy Scott; sisters, Stella "Della Locklear; Lessie Locklear, Tammy Kellogg, Freida Scott, Lori Hunt, Shirley Scott and Rhonda Scott. Along with her parents, she was also predeceased by a sister, Mandy Locklear and step mother, Cleatis Scott. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, March 13, 2017 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the chapel, conducted by Pastor Johnny Jones, Jr., Pastor Marvin Durham, the Rev. Darren Willis, and the Rev. Roger Bryant. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family will be at the home.
