Yvonne Whiteside

Yvonne Mary Lou Foster Whiteside, 73, of Southland Avenue, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 2, 2010. Yvonne was born on December 3, 1936 to Claude and Sara Roper Foster and was the wife to the late Samuel Whiteside, Sr. She had two brothers, Wayne Foster of Gaffney and the late Frank Foster; as well as two sisters, Sandra Church of Greer and the late Helen Gilbert. She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Whiteside of the home and Christine Fowler of Chesnee; and was predeceased by a son, Samuel Whiteside, Jr. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Yvonne was a member of the Boiling Springs Church of Christ. Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 P.M. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by Minister David Pharr. The family is at the home of Christine Fowler, 167 Overcreek Road, Chesnee.
