Yvonne Mcmillan

Yvonne Ford McMillan, 59, died Saturday, January 25, 2014, at her home. A born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, she was born June 6, 1954, in Spartanburg. She was a member of First Baptist Church Spartanburg, a 1971 graduate of Dorman High School, she was a graduate of Spartanburg Technical College and the University of South Carolina-Spartanburg where she was student body president and elected Miss USC-Spartanburg. She then attended the University of the South Carolina School of Law and received her MBA from the University of South Carolina School of Business. She was formerly a Human Resources Manager and Consultant for the State of South Carolina, Frito-Lay, and BASF. She was especially fond of writing notes, reading, and arranging flowers. Yvonne is survived by her parents, Lyster Brooks McMillan, Jr. and Rachel Ford McMillan; by brothers, Brooks McMillan III (Nancy Hughes) of Roebuck and Allen McMillan (Cindy) of Salisbury, NC; and nephews and niece, Cole McMillan and Daniel McMillan, both of Roebuck, Kevin McMillan of Newton, NC, Andrew McMillan and Leslie McMillan of Salisbury, NC. Yvonne had a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she dearly loved. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:45 PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Sal Barone and the Rev. Jack Mullinax. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
