Yaesuk Kim Nimz, 73, of Spartanburg, passed away on October 7, 2022, at home. Born June 19, 1949, in Changha, Korea to the late Chun Bae and Chongsun Kim, she was the wife of Richard James Nimz for 46 years.
Yaesuk was the owner and operator of Ann’s Wigs for over 30 years. She loved her cats and her flowers. She was an excellent decorator and wanted everything in its place. The matriarch of the family, her presence commanded respect. Yaesuk could often be heard singing, especially at karaoke.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; children, Celena Nimz and Anthony Nimz, both of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Penelope Price and Gavin Price, both of Spartanburg; and sisters, Soyoung Bigelow of Gaffney, Yungsuk Kim of Seoul, Korea, Mia Ng (Peter) of Alexandria, VA, Yongsuk Jackson (Stewart) of Woodruff, and Amy Yi (Sang) of Johns Creek, GA. She was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Jungaon Yun, and a step-brother, Yoon Gidal.
Visitation will be 12:00 – 1:45 PM on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Floyd’s Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Highway 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 PM, conducted by the Reverend Tim Williams. Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
