Woodrow Wilson, 98, of Boiling Springs, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at his home. He was born April 24, 1912 in Marion, NC. Mr. Wilson was the loving husband of Katherine Dean Wilson for 66 years and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was the son of the late L. Peru and Bettie Stone Wilson. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service where he worked for 35 years. He also worked in the Post Office at Converse College for 7 years. He enjoyed reading, listening to classical and religious music, and for several years raising "homing pigeons". He was of the Wesleyan Methodist faith, attended Spartanburg First Wesleyan Church for many years, and more recently attended Community Bible Church in Boiling Springs. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Diane Wilson of Boiling Springs; a son, Michael Wilson of Atlanta, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2010 at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Community Bible Church in Boiling Springs, conducted by the Rev. Dan Parker, the Rev. Belvin Greene, and Rev. Gary Long. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
