Wofford Brown Webb, 64, of Chesnee, died Monday, December 31, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. He was born October 17, 1948 in Fayetteville, NC and was reared in the Ben Avon Community of Spartanburg. A son of the late Garland G. Webb and Lizzie Brown Webb of Spartanburg, he was the owner and operator of Ace Towing of Spartanburg and M & R Wrecker Service and was formerly employed by Campbell's Body Shop and Wrecker Service. Mr. Webb was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and attended Spartanburg Methodist College, was a member of Morningside Baptist Church, the Glendale Masonic Lodge, the Hejaz Shrine Temple and the Spartanburg Shrine Club. In addition to his mother, Mr. Webb is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Banker Webb; his sons, W. B. Webb, II of Bishopville, SC, Allen Wheatley of Boiling Springs, and Christopher Wheatley and Stephanie of Boiling Springs; his grandchildren, Kameron, Kelsey and Zachary Webb, Elise, Tripp and Coleman Wheatley and Kaelyn Emon; his brother, Marshall Webb of Spartanburg; his sisters, Anne Humphries, Brenda Campbell and Wilma Satterfield of Spartanburg; his mother-in-law, Ruth Banker of the home; and many special nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Morningside Baptist Church Welcome Center. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., in the church sanctuary, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Kirk H. Neely and the Rev. Richard King. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Morningside Baptist Church Youth Ministry, 897 S. Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302 or to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605. The family will be at their respective homes.
