Winston Parker

Winston Bradley Parker, 69, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born May 29, 1941 in Glendale, SC, he was the son of the late Paul Logan and Mary Bradley Parker. He worked at Crown Cork and Seal for 23 years and then later as a security guard at Seimen's Corporation, a member of Thompson Chapel Baptist Church, and a U. S. Navy veteran. An avid hunter and fisherman, he had a love for all animals. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Brenda Lucille Bradley Parker; two sons, Paul Parker of Boiling Springs and Charles Parker of Woodruff; three daughters, Stephanie Brown of Spartanburg, Shirley Price of Cowpens, and Jacqueline Parker of Campobello; two sisters, Judith Bryant of Spartanburg and Shirley Thigpen of Florida; grandchildren, Brandon and Brittany Parker, Kala and Kyle Parker, Hannah and Gracie Parker, and Courtney, Logan, and Brantlie Price. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, November 12, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. David Frost and Pastor Craig Price. Burial with military rites by the S. C. State Guard Honors Team will follow in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home of his daughter, Shirley Price, 179 Greenway Drive, Cowpens, SC 29330.
