Wilma Jones

Wilma Vincent Blackwell Jones, 85, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital-Spartanburg. Born October 28, 1932, in Graham, KY, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Josephine Adcock Vincent and widow of Nick Blackwell and Jim Jones. Wilma loved her Lord, family, dogs and cats. She was also a lover of all outdoor activities including fishing, camping, cooking, and tending the best garden and flower beds. She served as a personal caregiver for many years and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her children, Teresa Lewis (Glenn Rummage) of Greenville, SC, Alesa Holden (Frank) of Boiling Springs, SC, Nancy Hembree and Kim Burchfield (Chad Switzer), all of Spartanburg, SC, Stony Blackwell of Chesnee, SC, Shane Blackwell (Andrea) of Taylors, SC, Sheree McComas (Mark) of Laurens, SC, and Shannon Blackwell of Chesnee, SC; 14 grandchildren; a large number of great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ruby McCraw of Mt. Holly, NC and Ann Crawford of Belmont, NC. She was predeceased by a daughter, Sheena Stacey Lardieri; and infant son, Jimmy Wayne Blackwell. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, May 14, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by The Rev. Andy Case. Committal and visitation will follow at the Chapel. Burial will be in New Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, 242 New Pleasant Rd., Gaffney, SC 29341. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at their respective homes.
