Willie Mahaffey

Willie Jenkins Mahaffey, 87, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter on Thursday, March 30, 2017. Born September 14, 1929, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Exie McKinney Jenkins and widow of Ralph Mahaffey. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include her daughter, Elaine Guest (Buddy) of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Vonnie Stanton (Carolyn) of Greenville, SC; Carmon Hughes (Mark) of Duncan, SC; and Brad Champion of Spartanburg, SC; and great-grandchildren, Zach, Morgan, Caleb, Lauren, Lance, and Jade. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Darlene Brooks; brothers, Lamar Jenkins and Harry Jenkins; and sisters, Rachel Pittman, Louise Smith, and Gazzie Gosnell. Visitation will be 1:30-2:45 PM Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by Pastor David Walker. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
