Willie Harvey, Jr.

Willie Lawson Harvey, Jr., 79, of Pacolet, died Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born February 22, 1933, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Willie Lawson Harvey, Sr. and Lizzie Foster Harvey. Mr. Harvey was employed by Milliken at Pacolet, retired from Musgrove Mills in Gaffney, and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Elsie Camby Harvey; daughter, Janet Sutton and husband Larry of Pacolet; son, Barry Harvey of Pacolet; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Harvey of Pacolet; and sisters, Mae Harris of Spartanburg, Margaret Hill of Pauline, and Midge Buice of Spartanburg. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 20, 2012, in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, by Pastor Bill Pickel. Visitation will be at the graveside.
