Willie Gregory

Willie Mae Lyda Gregory, 92, wife of the late John William Gregory, died Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House.  Born October 8, 1929, in Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late George Nathan and Melinda Pool Lyda.  She was a member of Pacolet Mills Church of God and retired from Clifton Mills.

Survivors are two daughters, Joyce Stepp (Michael) of Inman, Ann Byrd (Reese) of Columbia; son, Billy Gregory (Susie) of Pacolet; four sisters, Dorothy Vess, Frances Crocker, Shirley Tinsley, and Mary Ruth Cline all of Spartanburg, one brother, Harold Lyda of Clifton.   Daughter-in-laws, Sherry Gregory and Barbara Gregory.  Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  Mrs. Gregory was predeceased by two sons, Ronnie Gregory and Danny Gregory; three grandsons, Chat Gregory, Jody Gregory and Dylan Gregory.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 3, 2022, 2:00 PM, at Floyd’s Pacolet Chapel, conducted by Rev. Michael Hutchins, Rev. Reese Byrd and Rev. Michael Stepp.  Burial will follow at Pacolet Memorial Gardens with visitation at the graveside.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
