William "Billy" Mckinney

William “Billy” Henry McKinney, 92, of Spartanburg, SC passed away Monday, June 7, 2021 at his home. Born October 1, 1928, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late John Henry McKinney and Gladys Elizabeth Chaffen McKinney.

A 20 year U. S. Navy Veteran, Mr. McKinney also worked for 20 years with the Social Security Administration. He loved his grandchildren, yard sales, going to old historical sites and was interested in genealogy. Mr. McKinney was a member of Calvary Baptist Church now Parris Bridge Road Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Victoria McKinney-Vareschi of Atkinson, NH; three grandchildren, Mark, Anastazyia, and Gabriel; brother, Walker McKinney of Cherokee Springs, SC and sister, Jo Sandra Abbott of Spartanburg, SC.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Michael Stubblefield and Military Honors provided by American Legion Post 200.
