William Franklin Hannon, III, 82, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, October 9, 2021 at his home. Born March 24, 1939 in Rockmart, GA, he was the son of the late William F. Hannon, Jr. and Myrtle E. Loyd Hannon Hudson, and the stepson of the late William H. Hudson.
Mr. Hannon was a US Air Force veteran and earned his BA at Wofford College. Bill was the owner-operator of Able Septic Tank Service. He was a member of the Hejaz Shriners, supporter of the Shriners Hospital for Children, St. John’s Masonic Lodge #333.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Ann Eleazer Hannon, his daughters, Kimela Ann Blanton (David) of Inman, SC and Elizabeth Chantay Hannon of Spartanburg, SC, his son, William F. Hannon, IV of Inman, SC, two grandchildren, Haley Cansade Blanton and Taylor Langdon Blanton.
A visitation will be 9:30 – 10:30 AM Monday, October 11, 2021, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. Jason Moore. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second Presbyterian Church, 438 N. Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303 or to Shriners Children’s Hospital, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
