William Ridings

William "SA Bill" Ridings, 77, of Inman, SC passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 after a battle with cancer. Born July 9, 1943, in West Virginia, he was the son of the late James and Mary Tanner Ridings of Keyser, WV. A U. S. Military Veteran, Mr. Ridings, was a graduate of West Virginia University and Catherman's Business School. He was a member of the American Society of Testing Materials, American Welding Society, Society of Non-Destructive Testing and more. Mr. Ridings worked in South Africa as a Project Consultant for GE International, Edenvale Johannesburg and Eskom-Megawatt Park, Johannesburg, SA, and other companies throughout the United States, offering extensive experience in the areas of project management, civil, mechanical, welding, non-destructing testing, quality assurance, and quality control. He was a man of great integrity and had a strong faith in God. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Ridings; daughter, Tracy Ridings Porter and her husband, Rich of Barton, MD; grandchildren, Samantha Nelson and Haley and Dylan Kolb, and step-son, Daniel Kluza. Visitation will be held 12:00-12:45 PM Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4081 Hwy 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, with funeral services following at 1:00 PM in the Chapel, conducted by The Rev.
