William Rochester

William David "Smiley" Rochester, 42, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born May 13, 1974, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Sheila Guthrie Price and David Price of Pacolet, SC and the late Johnny Edward Rochester. Smiley enjoyed riding his motorcycle and loved to hunt and fish. He was employed with IMS (Industrial Maintenance & Services), Belton, SC and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by daughters, Samantha Rochester (Chris Bretz) of Duncan, SC and Lauren Rochester of Spartanburg, SC; grandson, Julian Rochester; brother, Kevin Rochester (Kay) of Pacolet, SC; sister, Shelly Smith (Josh) of Central Pacolet, SC; wife, Tammy Watts of Spartanburg, SC; son, Jake Sports of Sevierville, TN; step-brothers, Shane Price and Scott Price, both of Spartanburg, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Hammett Grove Baptist Church, 635 Hammett Grove Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the church, conducted by Pastor Michael Rochester and the Rev. Eddie Smith. Burial will be in Hammett Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 658 Hammett Grove Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Honorary escort will be members of the Warlocks Motorcycle Club.
