William "Bill" Odell Pressley, Jr., 64, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, February 13, 2017. Born March 8, 1952, in Cherokee County, SC, he was the son of the late William Odell Pressley, Sr. and Verna Hicks Pressley. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of USC and USC Law School, Mr. Pressley was an attorney at law with the firm of Perrin, Mann, Patterson, Pressley, LLP. He was elected to the South Carolina Bar Association House of Delegates and was a member of the Spartanburg County Bar Association. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Fellowship Sunday School Class, The Estate Planning Counsel of Spartanburg, an alumni of Leadership Spartanburg, and involved with the Spartanburg County Foundation Advisory Board. Even though declared an exhausted rooster, he was still active with the Spartanburg Jaycees. Bill loved politics, never met a stranger, and was an amateur radio operator with the call sign "KK4FE". Survivors include his wife Elizabeth "Libby" Melton Pressley; children, Samantha Lee Pressley and William Melton Pressley of the home; several aunts and uncles; and a large number of cousins. Visitation will be 1:30-2:45 PM Thursday, February 16, 2017, in the Parlor of First Presbyterian Church-Spartanburg. A service honoring his memory will follow at 3:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Tom Evans and the Rev. Joanne Hull.
