William Burts Mobley, 87, of Pauline, SC died Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Presbyterian Home of South Carolina in Clinton, SC. Born March 17, 1925 in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Law McCrorey Mobley, Sr. and Lois Burts Mobley. Mr. Mobley was retired from Southern Bell after 30 years of service and a member of Telephone Pioneers. He was a graduate of Wofford College, a U.S. Navy veteran, and a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife for 64 years, Geraldine Forman Mobley; son, Edward Mobley and wife Rita of Chappells, SC; daughter, Zipporah Katz and husband Marty of Stone Ridge, NY; five granddaughters, Shana K. Ross, Sura Katz, Esti Katz, Amy Mobley Dobbs, and Emily Mobley Roberts; one step-granddaughter, Lisa Bogan; and one great-grandson, Micah Ross. He was predeceased by a brother, Law M. Mobley, Jr. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Graveside services with military rites will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 26, 2012 in Sunset Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. David Scruggs, the Rev. Melvin Shelton, and the Rev.
