William Lankford

William Barry "Bear" Lankford, 80, died Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born January 31, 1940 in Long Beach, CA he was the son of the late Hubert Parker and Juanita Marguerite Wall Lankford. A graduate of Wofford College, Mr. Lankford was a member of Church at The Mill and an avid South Carolina Gamecock Fan, collector of Native American history and enjoyed coaching youth sports. Survivors include his brothers, Michael Lankford (Teresa) of Spartanburg, SC and David Lankford of Boiling Springs, SC; nieces, Mitzie Brown (Shane) of Boiling Springs, SC, Mandi Pruitt (David) of Moore, SC, Casey Blackwell (Jott) of Tega Cay, SC and Josie Monson of Bremerton, WA; nine great nieces and nephews; three great-great nieces and nephews; godson; Barry Ernest Prince and his parents, Ben and Pam Prince of Ogden, UT. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316 conducted by close family friend, Mr. Roy Seay. Visitation will follow at the graveside. The family is at their respective home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Barry's honor to a charity on one's choice.
