William F. Kirschbaum, III, peacefully passed away on January 13, 2025, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, at the age of 88. Born on January 11, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late William Frederick Kirschbaum, II and Marie Antoinette Turek Kirschbaum.
As the owner of Kirschbaum Auto Appearance Center, William’s passion for automobiles began in his teenage years, culminating in an impressive 65-year career. His work ethic and dedication to serving others were evident in every task he undertook.
In addition to his professional achievements, William found immense joy serving his church community, where he sang in the choir and contributed his time to numerous church productions as a behind-the-scenes cast member. His love for his church family was also expressed through hosting home groups, creating an environment for connection and spiritual growth.
William was known for his gentle, kind, and loving nature. A generous provider, he cherished the time spent with his family, always encouraging them to gather and celebrate life’s moments together. Above all, he was a man of faith, and a man of Godly principles.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Nina F. Kirschbaum; daughters, Kimberly K. Broadhead and her husband Donald H. of Spartanburg, and Kristina K. Roach and her husband H. William of Spartanburg; son, William F. Kirschbaum, IV of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Isaac Acosta and family of Fort Worth, TX, Parker Roach of Boiling Springs, SC, Austin Roach of Buda, TX, and Zachari Roach of Boiling Springs; as well as great-grandchildren, Colton and Cooper Acosta. William will be dearly missed by his sister, Crystal Kirschbaum Malik Peterson.
William was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved son, Benjamin "Ben" Jonathan Kirschbaum.
A Celebration of Life to honor William F. Kirschbaum, III will be held at 3:00 PM, on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Hope Church, 102 John Dodd Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family will receive friends at Hope Church following the service.
William devoted his life to his family and community, leaving an indelible mark through his kind spirit and unwavering faith.
