William Jarrard

William"Bill" Edward Jarrard, 94, of Spartanburg, died Monday, July 16, 2012, at Windsor House West. Born June 27, 1918, in White County, GA, he was the husband of the late Alma Linder Jarrard, and son of the late Augustus and Naomi Rachel Allison Jarrard. A U. S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, Mr. Jarrard retired from Avnet Inc. with over 27 years of service. He was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church and recently transferred membership to St. James United Methodist Church. He was also a life-member of Spartan Masonic Lodge #70. Surviving are his brother, James L. Jarrard and wife Janice of Blairsville, GA; sisters-in-law, Margaret Campbell of Atlanta, GA; Luvene Linder of Batesville, MS; and Margaret Linder of Greensboro, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. He loved his family very much. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. A. Mickey Fisher. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
