William Fowler

August 27, 1927 — July 19, 2012

William Hill Fowler, 84, formerly of 380 Poplar Street, Pacolet, died Thursday, July 19, 2012, at White Oak Manor-Spartanburg. Born August 27, 1927, in Pacolet Mills, he was the son of the late Everette Tillman and Mattie Brown Fowler, and the last surviving member of his immediate family. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Fowler was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church and retired from the carpentry and construction industry. He is survived by a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Claude Everett "Pud" Fowler and Earl Tillman Fowler; and a sister, Marie F. Teaster. A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 noon Saturday, July 21, 2012, in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Ralph Jett. Visitation will follow at the graveside. Memorials may be made to Brown's Chapel Baptist Church Capital Campaign, PO Box 396, Pacolet Mills, SC 29373. The family is at their respective homes.
