William Hill Fowler, 84, formerly of 380 Poplar Street, Pacolet, died Thursday, July 19, 2012, at White Oak Manor-Spartanburg. Born August 27, 1927, in Pacolet Mills, he was the son of the late Everette Tillman and Mattie Brown Fowler, and the last surviving member of his immediate family. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Fowler was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church and retired from the carpentry and construction industry. He is survived by a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Claude Everett "Pud" Fowler and Earl Tillman Fowler; and a sister, Marie F. Teaster. A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 noon Saturday, July 21, 2012, in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Ralph Jett. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
