William Going Jr.

William T. Going, Jr., 73, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at White Oak Estates-Spartanburg. Born January 5, 1942, in Pacolet, SC, he was the son of the late William Thomas Going Sr. and Lois Yvonne Fowler Going. A U. S. Army veteran during the Vietnam War, Mr. Going was a retired auditor with 25 years of service with the Federal government. He was an Eagle Scout, Assistant Scoutmaster, Troop Committee Member, and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Charlotte Gale Crocker Going; son, Todd Going of Atlanta, GA; sister, Judy Knox of Pacolet, SC; granddaughters, Kristina and Gabrielle Going of Atlanta, GA; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved cats Huff and Puff. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Jackie Going. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 12, 2015, in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, 141 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372 by the Rev. Dr. Keith Taylor.
