William Page "Willie" Goforth, 93, formerly of Pacolet Mills, SC died Friday, July 20, 2012 at White Oak Manor. Born February 28, 1919 in Pacolet Mills, he was the son of the late Junie A. and Mary Lou Chalk Goforth and husband of the late Peggie Martin Goforth. A graduate of Pacolet High School, he was formerly employed with Pacolet Mills and Kohler Company. Mr. Goforth was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and retired from the S.C. National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion and Montgomery Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, William Fuller Goforth and wife Rhonda of Raleigh, NC; and a granddaughter, Lindsey Ann Goforth of New Orleans, LA. He was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Arthur Goforth, Kansas "Shag" Goforth, Anne G. Parker, Louise G. Brown, and Parnice G. Baker. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 23, 2012 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Cash. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
