William Edwards, Jr.

William "Bill" Paul Edwards, Jr., 53, of Spartanburg, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born March 1, 1959, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of Ruby Levenia Horton Edwards of the home and the late William Paul Edwards, Sr. Mr. Edwards attended Westgate Free Will Baptist Church and was saved in 2011. He loved gospel music, Hank Williams Jr., NASCAR racing, and most of all he loved his family. He was a kind and generous friend who was loved by everyone. In addition to his mother, survivors include his sisters, Teresa Sawyer of the home and Nell Osment of Spartanburg; niece, Paula Mattox of Wellford; nephews, Andy Sawyer of the home and Keith Fortenberry of Wellford; and a number of great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6:00-6:45 PM Thursday, June 14, 2012, in the sanctuary at Westgate Free Will Baptist Church. A memorial service honoring his life will follow at 7:00 PM, conducted by the Rev.
