William Robertson

William Britt "Dub" Robertson, 80, of 192 South Blackstock Road, died Friday, December 4, 2009, at his home. Born March 14, 1929, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late William and Cassie Seay Robertson. He was retired from Phillips Fibers, was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, the Westview Masonic Lodge, and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mildred Mashburn Robertson; one daughter, Patricia L. Harlan of Spartanburg; three granddaughters, Nicole L. Thompson, Jessica E. Fowler and her husband Richard, and Brittany M. Wall, all of Spartanburg; a grandson, Brandon M. Wall of Spartanburg; a sister, Iris Branen of Spartanburg; a brother, Jerry Robertson and his wife Deane of Shelby, NC; a special niece, Donna Humphries and her husband Jerry of Gaffney; a special nephew, Mike Sexton and his wife Sandy of Pauline; two great-grandsons, Rusty Fowler and Carson Prather, both of Spartanburg; and several other special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sheri Robertson Wall. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 Sunday, December 6, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Dr. Tim Williams. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bill Robertson, Mike Sexton, Jason Sexton, Brandon Wall, Richard Fowler and David Prather.
