William Briske

William "Bill" Eugene Briske, 84, went home to be with The Lord on Wednesday, November 25, 2015. Mr. Briske, a son of the late Lydia and Dan Hornkohl, was born on November 20, 1931 in Detroit, MI and grew up in Beaver Falls, PA. He graduated from Waynesburg College, proudly served in the U. S. Army, and then returned home to marry the love of his life, Roberta. Bill enjoyed a long career as a chemist, consultant, and entrepreneur. He was an active member of Skylyn Drive Presbyterian Church where he enjoyed teaching Sunday School and serving on the Session, and was a member and co-founder of the Downtown Sertoma Club. Bill is survived by his wife, Roberta (BobE) Briske; his children, Kim, Tammi, Tom, Todd and John; his blessed grandchildren, Amanda, Samantha, Hudson, Noah and Ryan; and his brothers and sister, Bob, Ernie and Ruth. Bill was a blessing to everyone he met and will be missed by many. A light reception for all will be held from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2015, at Skylyn Drive Presbyterian Church, 1801 Skylyn Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Peter Waid. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
