William Smith

William Bernard "Bernie" Smith II, 43, of Pauline, SC, died Monday, September 29, 2014, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born February 27, 1971, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of April Flowers Smith of Pauline and the late Columbus Bernard Smith. Mr. Smith was employed with Vulcan Materials and was a member of NewSpring Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Sheri Barcomb Smith; daughters, Alexis Leigh Smith and Abigail Layne Smith of the home; brother, Barry Layne Smith (Susan) of Moore, SC; and niece Amanda Capps of Moore, SC. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Friday, October 3, 2014, at Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church, 6001 Hwy 215, Pauline, SC 29374. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will follow in the church Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Victory Junction, 4500 Adams Way, Randleman, NC 27374; Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605; or a charity of one's choice.
