William Bailey

William Hayward Bailey, 77, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, June 4, 2015, at his home. Born May 19, 1938, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Woodrow and Amy Burnette Bailey. A U. S. Navy veteran, Mr. Bailey was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of Casey Creek Baptist Church, color operator for Phillips Fibers Corp. and supply room supervisor for Beaumont Mills. Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Anne Stone Bailey; son, Mark Hayward Bailey of Spartanburg, SC; daughter-in-law, Judy A. Bailey of Cowpens, SC; and brothers, Gerald D. Bailey (Nellie) of Spartanburg, SC and Ronald W. Bailey (Sharon) of Chesnee, SC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sons, William Gregory Bailey and Tracey Neil Bailey; brothers, James H. Bailey and Franklin D. Bailey; and stepmother, Kathleen Jones Bailey. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 PM Sunday, June 7, 2015, in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Bob Buhl. Visitation will follow at the graveside. The family is at the home.
