William Anderson

William B. Anderson, 76, of Chesnee, SC, passed away on Tuesday evening, March 1, 2016, and was pronounced dead at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 27, 1939, in Chesnee, he was the son of the late Gary Lee Anderson and Pauline Gore Anderson. William graduated from Boiling Springs High School and received a machinist certificate at Spartanburg Technical College. He worked most of his life in the textile industry and enjoyed a mechanical challenge, building race cars, and agriculture. He was a member of Casey Creek Baptist Church and retired from Mayfair Mills, Spartanburg, SC. Surviving are his children, Jeana Anderson, Dennis Anderson, Gary Anderson, all of Rutherfordton, NC, Alan Anderson of Chesnee, SC, and Jonathan Anderson of Harris, NC; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Betty and her husband Harold Suttles of Chesnee, SC and Shirley and her husband Joe Summerall of Sumter, SC; and many other family members and friends. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, by the Rev. David Lancaster. He will be laid to rest in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Boiling Springs Rd, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. May he rest in the peace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
