Willene Hughes-Martin

Willene (Billy) Warren Hughes-Martin, 93, of Glendale, SC, died Friday, May 10, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born December 18, 1919, in Glendale, SC, she was the daughter of the late Victor Eugene and Myrtle Burgess Warren. She was a former member of Glendale United Methodist Church and current member of Ben Avon United Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Pamela Jo Martin-Glazner of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Gina Munoz Ward, Andy Munoz, Hope Kendrick, Heather Blackwood, and John Tyler Martin-Glazner; great-grandchildren, Stacey, Marty Lee, Jennifer, Brad, Christina, Robin, Taylor, Jayda, Kayla, Bailey, and Riley; great-great-grandchild, Mina; sister, Audrey Mahaffey-Frady (Herman) of Spartanburg, SC; and brother, Charles Henry Warren (Evelyn) of Boiling Springs, SC. She was predeceased by her first husband, SSgt. Victor C. Hughes, and her second husband, Joe Frank Martin; daughter, Vickie Hughes Munoz; son, Jeffrey Frank Martin; grandson, Victor Munoz; five brothers; and four sisters. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, May 13, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at the Chapel, by the Rev. Dr. L. H. Buff. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.
