Weyman Earl Greene, 84, of 175 Shady Lane, died Monday, April 13, 2009, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born July 6, 1924, in Sylvania, GA, he was the son of the late George and Ruth Rustin Greene. He was retired after 37 years of service with Southern Bell in South Florida. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church of Boiling Springs and a U. S. Air Force Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Judith Lessey Greene; three children, Sue Orgeron and her husband Carl of Newborn, GA, Eileen Reeves and her husband Richard of Shelby, NC, and Steve Greene and his wife Deborah of Boiling Springs; three grandchildren, Michael Davis and his wife Linda, Robert Davis and his wife Lucy, and Lora Massey; five great-grandchildren, Zackery Jameson, Sara Massey, Bobby Massey, Caleb Davis, and Amanda Bennerson; and a great-great-grandson, Brandon Bennerson. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2009, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Phillip Welchel. Burial will be in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery on Parris Bridge Road. Memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
