Wayne Kimbrell

Kenneth "Ken" Kimbrell, 69, of Pauline, SC died Friday, October 28, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born March 25, 1942, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Frank and Thelma Byers Kimbrell and husband of Jackie Kanipe Kimbrell. Ken was retired from Norfolk-Southern Railroad, a mason, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and of the Methodist Faith. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Rodney Wayne (Lanie) Kimbrell and a daughter, Nikki (Bobby) Hoopingarner all of Pauline; grandchildren, Landon and Griffin Kimbrell, and Dara and Devan Hoopingarner; brothers, Frank "Bud" and Mike Kimbrell; sisters, Pat McCullough, Vickie Jackson all of Boiling Springs, and Mott Brown of Charlotte, NC. Ken was predeceased by a brother, Ronnie Kimbrell. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, October 31, 2011 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
