Wayne Bach of Inman, South Carolina, passed away on January 28, 2024, he was 74. He was born in Queens, New York and lived most of his life on Long Island before moving to Las Vegas in 1994. Wayne is survived by his two daughters, Kristin and Keri Bach, son-in-law Scott Orwick, best friend Karen Ashe, and his German shorthaired pointer, Otto. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Clemens Bach, and sister Lianne Fisher.
Wayne attended Uniondale High School before getting his associate degree from the Culinary Institute of America. His college education helped launch a lifelong career in food and beverage - or as he liked to call it, “the business”. He served as a volunteer in the Uniondale Fire Department.
Wayne was known for his love of New York Islanders hockey, “outstanding” beer and wine, music (especially oldies, doo-wop, and country), fishing, John Wayne, and cowboy movies.
His family would appreciate it if you thought about Wayne the next time you have a beer (as long as it’s not “sissy beer”, as he put it) or eat a piece of pie that is covered with half a can of whipped cream.
