Warren “Doc” Fred Blanchard, 74, of Roebuck, died Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Herbert “Hub” and Beryl Blanchard.
Warren attended Presbyterian College and was a long-time owner/operator with Blanchard Sand and Gravel. He was a member of Canaan Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon, and he was also a Shriner and a Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Paula, of the home; his daughter, Tracy Blanchard, her significant other, Darren Turner and their son – Elliot – all of Greenville; his son, Joel, his wife Lindsey and their two daughters – Emory and Rylan - all of Marietta, Georgia; and his son, Micah and his wife, Casey of Roebuck. He is also survived by three sisters, Elizabeth “Pan” Millwood of Anderson, Judy Hayes of Jonesville, Lynn Lawson of Spartanburg, and a brother, Ronald Blanchard of Boiling Springs.
He was predeceased by his sister, Jane Shropshire of Washington.
The family will receive friends, Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 11am until 11:45 pm at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A private burial will immediately follow.
