Wanda Koopman

Wanda Koopman of Columbia passed away December 31. She was seventy-five years old. Wanda was a registered nurse and a certified master gardener. She graduated from Spartanburg High School and the Spartanburg General Hospital School of Nursing. Wanda was born in Spartanburg in 1938. She was the daughter of the late Winnie Cox and the late Geddes Cox. Wanda is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-three years, Witte Koopman Sr. of Columbia; her son, Witte Koopman Jr., her granddaughters, Linnea and Cecilia Koopman, and her daughter-in-law, Annika Sanfridson, all of Bjaerred, Sweden; her brother-in-law, Bill Koopman, and niece, Karen Beatty, both of Virginia Beach; and her brother, Wayne Cooper of Pompano Beach, Florida. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine Manos of Columbia. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:30 PM on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307, with services following at 3:00 PM in the chapel conducted by Rev. Seth Gibson. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
