Wanda Gowan Easler, lovingly known by her grandchildren as "Gigi", died Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born July 26, 1956, in Spartanburg, SC; she was 61 years old. Wanda was the daughter of Shirley Westbrook Gowan of Spartanburg, SC and the late Alvin Paul Gowan. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother; she cherished family and nurtured those around her. She was a talented pianist and singer. Wanda deeply loved God, family, her pet Yorkie, Bella Jane, and music. Wanda was a member of First Baptist Church Spartanburg and the Steve Martin Life Group. She was a graduate of Spartanburg Community College and formerly employed with the Vance County Economic Development Office. She and her husband, Dennis Easler shared 42 years of marriage. Their daughters include Angela Romano of Davidson, NC, Jessica Swartz of Sydney, Australia, and Laura Paige Easler of Boiling Springs, SC. Son-in-laws include Mark Romano and David Swartz. Wanda was the doting grandmother of Marek, Maddox, and Veda Romano, and Vera Swartz. Visitation will be 1:00-2:15 PM Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307 with funeral services following at 2:30 PM, conducted by The Rev. Sal Barone. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
