Wallace Alexander Robinson III, 66, of Moore, SC, died Friday, January 17, 2014, at his home. Born November 24, 1947, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Wallace Alexander Robinson Sr. and Drucie Evans Robinson, and husband of the late Patricia Delores Boyter Robinson. Mr. Robinson attended the University of South Carolina and was a retired purchasing agent with Duke University Medical Center. He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church, enjoyed his hobbies of carpentry and home improvement projects, and was a veteran of the U. S. Army Reserves. Wallace had an entrepreneurial spirit and was involved in numerous tavern and restaurant ventures. Surviving are daughters, Kimberly Ray and her husband Herbert of Anderson, SC, and Kelly Clark and her husband Tim of Spartanburg, SC; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, George Robinson and his wife Kay, and Robert Robinson, all of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Elissa R. Ashley and her husband Jay of Greenville, SC; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved Jack Russell terriers, Chase and Annie. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother, David Evans Robinson. Visitation will be 10:30-11:45 AM Friday, January 24, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Jarrett McNeely. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
