W. Waddell

W. B. (Doug) Waddell, 84, of Spartanburg, SC died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at his home. Born March 21, 1929 in Inman, he was the son of the late Clarence Waddell and Nancy Case Waddell King Johnson and step-son of Edward F. Johnson. Mr. Waddell was retired from Beverage Air. Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Pearl Gilbert Waddell; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; multiple nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brother, Joe Waddell; sisters, Carrie Splawn and Elsie McCloud; and half-brothers, Vernon King, Lonnie King, Joe King, Charlie King, and Lloyd King Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, November 11, 2013 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Cryptside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Complex, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. Harold King and the Rev. Jimmy Powell.
