W. Tisdale Jr.

W. Harold Tisdale, Jr., 81, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, December 17, 2015, at his home. Born September 2, 1934, in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Wilburn Harold Tisdale, Sr. and Ruby Mae Easler Tisdale. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Tisdale was a member of First Baptist North Spartanburg Church, the Trust and Obey Sunday School Class, and the Men's Prayer Breakfast Group. He was also a Shriner and life-member of Beaumont Lodge #360, and a longtime associate of Coleman Young Enterprises. Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Joanne Bradley Tisdale of the home; sons, Robbie Tisdale and Rick Tisdale (Kandy), all of Spartanburg, SC, and Rodney Tisdale of Eugene, OR; grandchildren, Nicole Barrett (Joe) and Alex Tisdale, all of Spartanburg, SC; great-grandson, Reed Barrett; brother, Donald Patrick Tisdale, Sr.; and his beloved canine companion, Noel. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, William Clayton Tisdale. Visitation will be 12:30-1:45 PM Monday, December 21, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Michael S. Hamlet. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
