W. Dye

W. Lee Dye, 92, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Magnolia Manor. Born October 14, 1927, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Orrie M. "O. M." and Jessie Nations Dye. He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Marquerite Bullington Dye. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Dye was retired from CSX, formerly C&WC RR as a clerk, and was a textile machinery salesman. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include his son-in-law, DJ Wilson; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a daughter, Lynn Wilson. A private graveside service was held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 316 South Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
