Vonda Kay Lee Bowden, of Spartanburg, SC, widow of John Bowden, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at her home after a long illness. She was the daughter of James C. Lee and Janice K. Medley Lee of Arcadia, SC. In addition to her parents, survivors include two grandchildren, Shane and Sabrie; sisters, Tonya West and Rhonda Lee; nephews, Lee West and Brad West; and her dear friend, Linda Bodreaux and special friend, Sammy "Grizzly Sam" Schrimsher. She was predeceased by a son, James D. Moody. Visitation will be 11:00-11:45 AM Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dustin Miller. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Medi-Home Hospice, 775 Spartan Blvd., Spartanburg, SC 29301. Special thanks to Pam, Roynet, and Rev.
