Von Swink

Von William Swink, 92, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at his home. Born August 18, 1921, in Shelby, NC, he was the son of the late John William and Lula Ann Green Swink, and husband, for 58 years, of the late Inez Hoyle Swink. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Swink was formerly employed with the SC School for the Deaf and Blind. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his sons, Von Russell Swink of Hampton, OH, Ronnie William Swink of Mountville, SC, and Thomas Steven Swink of Greer, SC; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a son, Larry Jesse Swink. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Friday, November 15, 2013, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 16, 2013, in Clover Hill Cemetery, Kaiser, NC. The family is at their respective homes.
