Vivian Wofford

Vivian "Polly" Steadings Simmons Wofford, 81, of Spartanburg, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011. Born September 29, 1930, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Dean and Vivier Cooke Simmons, and wife of the late Marvin Lorance Wofford. She was a member of Arkwright Baptist Church. Mrs. Wofford is survived by her daughter, Reba King and her husband Steve of Inman; son, Paul Lorance Wofford and wife Jeri of Boiling Springs; three grandchildren, Stephanie King MacLeod, Kristie Camp, and Misty Ballenger; brothers, John Steadings, AW Steadings, Leon Simmons, and Robert Simmons; sisters, Geraldine Matthews, Rachel Christian, Mary Loveless, and Betty Lynch. She was predeceased by her sisters, Doris Wright and Blanche Huff; and brother, J. D. Simmons Jr. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, December 23, 2011, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 24, 2011, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, by the Rev. Franklin Thomas. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
