Virginia Dare Williams, of Spartanburg, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, September 17, 2011, on her 90th birthday, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home after a period of declining health. She was born to the late Henry Ellis and Mannie White Westmoreland on September 17, 1921, in Inman. Mrs. Williams was retired from Spartan Mills and worked at Raycord Company for 22 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg. Her most gratifying and successful career was raising her five children, who will miss her dearly. Survivors include a daughter, Linda D. Crawford and husband Cecil; and three sons, Joe A. Williams and wife Dale, and Robert W. Williams, Sr. and wife Sissie all of Spartanburg and Harry E. Williams of Inman; three granddaughters, Virginia Ellen Williams of Spartanburg, Teresa Moore and husband Chuck of Boiling Springs, and Samantha Williams of Gaffney; four grandsons, Robert Williams, Jr. and wife Nicole of Wellford, David Williams and wife Karra of Pacolet, Michael Crawford of Charleston, and Daryl Crawford of Spartanburg; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Westmoreland of Arden, NC, and Boyce Westmoreland of Inman; and a sister, Frances Fredricks of McDonalds, TN. She was predeceased by her first-born, James Williams, Jr Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Monday, September 19, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by Rev. Al Phillips. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
