Virginia Sanders

Virginia V. Sanders, 95, of Tryon, NC, died Thursday, April 26, 2012, at White Oak Manor-Tryon. Born June 2, 1916, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Banks L. and Elizabeth Sanders. Virginia was retired from Milliken & Company. She was a member of United Baptist Church, the Women's Missionary Union (WMU), Sunshine Sunday School Class, and a lifetime member of Lone Oak Chapter #208 Order of the Eastern Star. She worked as a pole manager, for numerous elections and volunteered with the American Red Cross. She was a determine lady and devoted to her family. Surviving are her niece, Kathy Willson; nephew, Warren J. Sanders; great-niece, Sarah Willson; and great-nephews, Andrew Willson and Michael Willson. She was predeceased by a brothers, W. H. "Bill" Sanders, Paul Sanders, and John W. Sanders; sister, Minnie Sanders Graham; brother-in-law, Thomas "Brother" Graham; sisters-in-law, Doris S. Sanders, and Jo Sanders. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:30 PM Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 1, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
