Virginia Owens

Virginia Elizabeth Sizemore Owens, 87, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, February 23, 2015, at Park Place Assisted Living. Born May 22, 1927, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Norman Dean and Dovie Pope Sizemore. Mrs. Owens was a graduate of Fairforest High School and attended Cecil's Business College. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and was retired from the Kohler Company. Survivors include a nephew, Keith Quinn; niece, Lori Ann Owens (Kenny, "Cotton"); a great niece, and a great nephew. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William (Bill) Owens; and sisters, Evelyn D. Sizemore and Patsy Sizemore Gibson. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 2, 2015 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. David Blanton. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Associate of the Upstate, 301 University Ridge, Suite 500, Greenville, SC 29601.
