Virginia Orr

Virginia Scruggs Orr, 87, of Spartanburg, died Friday, February 15, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born October 8, 1925, in Boiling Springs, SC, she was the daughter of the late Houston D. and Margie Bradley Scruggs. She was retired from Drayton Mills and a member of Jesus Reigns Ministries. Virginia is survived by her husband of 60 years, William Jess Orr, Jr.; grandsons, Benjamin Orr (Tracy) of Spartanburg, Christopher Orr of Spartanburg, and Michael Orr (Stephanie) of Chesnee; daughter-in-law Midge Orr Murry (Bobby); brother Robert W. Scruggs (Dorothy); six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a son, Dale Orr; granddaughter, Jenny Orr; and brother, Oliver E. Scruggs. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, February 17, 2013, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Craig Price and the Rev. Dr. Don Horton. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside. The family is at their respective homes.
