Virginia Nicholson

Virginia Mary Loos Nicholson, 93, formerly of Spartanburg, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at NHC-Greenville in Greer, SC. Born May 26, 1923, in Dillon Vale, OH, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Mary Vera Tereschak Loos and widow of Noil "Nick" Hasel Nicholson. Mrs. Nicholson was a member of Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Spartanburg and a retired Registered VA Nurse. Surviving are her sister-in-law, Lucille Loos of Ohio; nieces, Susan Black (John) of Ohio and Jennifer Renytjes (Andrew) of Michigan; great-nephews, Johnny Black, Bob Black and Conner Renytjes; and great-nieces, Katie Black and Ashley Renytjes. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Bobby Loos. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 1645 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Carl A. Voges. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home of Jim and Joy Kimsey.
